trev-b 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Got one of the aldi ones today, they had plenty in stock at 3 o'clock. Too wet to try it out but it seems pretty decent quality.
CaiosG60 PWR 0 Posted March 30, 2006 By the way the above item that I posted is now discontinued until a new model with variable speed comes out. Thought I'd better post an update just in case. Dont want to disappoint anyone.

john_wintle 0 Posted March 31, 2006 What you have to remember is that nearly all of these inexpensive polishers are just rotary ones, and as such you can do a lot of damage with them if you are not careful. Where the PC7424 scores is that it is a random orbital polisher with a large throw, which mimics the way that you would polish manually. As is has quite a large throw the amount of time spent on any one spot is minimised compared to a normal orbital polisher, and therefore is is virtually impossible to burn the paint. ardandy 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Are orbitals better or purely just a time saving device if your willing to do a proper job by hand?
Andy T 0 Posted April 6, 2006 I would of thought a good orbital used properly would be better anf more 'random' than doing it by hand, only on large areas though, they're no good at corners/crevices
craigowl 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Andy T said they're no good at corners/crevices Good point. The person who comes up with a patent for one that can do that will become very rich. That's the down side of them, but on balance I think they are worth having.
