matth76 0 Posted April 1, 2006 Hi Just had some new Eagle F1 tyres fitted to my two front wheels. My wheels are the standard 15" bbs alloys. The tyre size is 195/50/15. However I have noticed the speed rating is "82V" instead of "86V" which is what is used to be on my old 205 width tyres. Is 82V fine for a VR6 and is it only the "V" / letter that matters, not the number? What does the number mean.. is it lower because I am on smaller 195 width tyres? Thanks for any help. bristolbaron 11 Posted April 1, 2006 82 & 86 refer to the load index.. for more info see here i dont know the index recommmended for the rado off hand..
Yandards 0 Posted April 1, 2006 As the heaviest a rado can weigh is around 1500kg, at 82 you can have an overall vehicle load of around 2000kg so 82 should be fine.
