young lad 0 Posted April 24, 2006 as far as i am aware its a common fault to look out for when buying a C, the light should come on for a few seconds before starting up. Do a search as i know i've read it on the forum. Try checking the abs sensor, clean it etc
dr_mat 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Best bet with ABS faults as always is to scan the ECU for error codes, that's going to tell you exactly what the problem is straight away, without any faffing about.
StuartFZR400 0 Posted July 18, 2006 "scan ECU" - how? Is this another VAGCOM reference?
Guest Posted July 18, 2006 yus it is or run a multi meter over the sensors and see if any of them are open circuits. use the search, there are millions of threads on here about this problem :)
randomist 0 Posted July 19, 2006 mine did this two weeks ago, are you windscreen wipers working & your fan? mine turned out to be a faulty relay (no.18 on a vr) but as therapor said there's loads of threads about it. could just be a faulty sensor, best bet is take it to a garage & get it plugged in!!!!!!
