Well my 1.8 16v injectors didn't fit the 9A engine in my friend's Corrado, in that the thread on the end of the injector was bigger on the 2.0. I swapped the pipes over as well and they fitted the metering head though.

So, just to confirm, these are being fitted to a 2.0 16v or a 1.8?

BCstudent - they are fitted to a 1.8 16V! They are a straight swap on the 1.8 16v - but looks as if the 1.8 fuel pipes are required for the 2.0.

I was thinking about getting some of these, how's your car running with them fitted? everything alright still? where'd you get new o-rings from?

Be warned 2.0 owners, if you intend to use the injector pipes from a 1.8 they won't fit the 2.0 metering head perfectly. It's safe and works ok but looks a bit untidy!

GSF sell the injector seal O-rings for about 70p each. I expect they're a similar price from VW.

I've just ordered a set, I've got a really bad misfire on startup in this weather, I think the injectors are letting fuel leak past them. I've got a spare set of injectors that i've removed already so that I can pull the endcaps off and fit them to the new injectors in my own time. I'll let you know how it goes,

They won't work properly as they lack the end cap. You may be able to swap the end cap over if you are careful. They would work in a Mk1 though.

Apparently......

The insert on the bottom did come off - remove the lower O-ring and applied some heat to it (careful it still holds fuel!) and it will pull off!
