oil change

i have been told that doin a engine flush and replacing oil with 15w/40 may solve my tappet noise!

 

i was wondring how much oil i should put back in after it has been drained :?:

Try Castrol GTX - High Mileage, thats 15w 40.

 

About 5.5 litres should do it I think, but I've heard probs with engine flushes so I'd be careful. Do a search for probs.

Try some Wynns hydraulic valve lifter treatment. It worked wonders on mine! You're prob better off adding it before an oil change.

 

I used a bottle of Wynns, 4L of 15w 40 and a spare oil filter to "flush" my engine over a few 100Km before I actually put in the new oil I was going to use :lol:

yeah i tried some of that stuff just for something to do and it has made a notable diff!

 

think the 16v only use something like 4L, so stick about that in the check level etc... Basically i always have some left from a 5l when i do the change.,

will go for 4L then then go from their?

Should be about 4 with filter... stick 4 in and start the engine and top of if needed.
