VR6 - Lumpy through lower revs - Ideas please!

Just looking for some ideas really - over the last month or so my VR has become a bit 'lumpy' when accelerating through the lower revs. Before that it used to accelerate really smoothly from 2k revs upwards, where as now it seems to only really accelerate really well form 4k upwards. What could cause this / how could I improve this??

 

Spark plugs only done approx 7k miles - would new fuel filter help? Anything else?

MAF sensor? Coil pack? Plugs looking ok? Not oiled up? Fuel filter might help, but I doubt it.

Getting the ECU scanned is the best starting point...
