Dubby 0 Posted May 28, 2006  Anyway, back on topic, I managed to fit the new one today in no time at all, without breaking anything! My door membranes could do with replacing tho - what should I use? Just thick ish polyethene???
peanut 0 Posted May 28, 2006 aye, even a thick bin bag will do, contact adhesive round the edges to get a good weather seal. nice one Gav

Supercharged 2 Posted May 29, 2006 Black mastick / silicon sealent is the stuff to use (B&Q) and gaffer tape to repair any rips but if it's behond that then VW now sell a roll of foam for about a fiver that will do a whole door and you just have to cut it to shape and seal it on
