Jules 0 Posted June 14, 2006 My rear spoiler when going up and down is making an embarrassing groaning noise lol! I know that it must be needing greased or something cos it sounds like the rubber or whatever the material is is sticking. Just wondered if anyone has had this problem and what they used as I woudnt like to put anything near it which might end up damaging the paintwork around that area. Jim 2 Posted June 14, 2006 http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2919 The servicing guide (linked above) reccomends lubricating the spoiler with a little dry, teflon based grease.. Hope that helps!
rolex 0 Posted June 14, 2006 hello, i had this an just used castrol bike chain spray on the vertical legs, any lube should be ok,just check back of can :)
kongo127 0 Posted June 14, 2006 The castrol might work fine, but i don´t know if the rubbers like it... I have used PTFE spray (same as charger) on my previously Corrado. The actual one is ok for now! :)
Jules 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Ok thanks, this is the first thing on my 'niggly list' of things to be done but lately I have lost heart a bit with the car.....but this weekend is the start of things! Then I can start on the 'major list' ! There may be more questions to follow lol
Jim 2 Posted June 14, 2006 Its always the little things which pee you off the most but, when it comes down to it, are the easiest to fix :)
