Who does TPFT with windscreen cover?

nah, just get TPFT, and if you break your screen, ring them up, upgrade to fully comp, them claim for the window!

Fully comp ain't normally that much more than TPFT, try it on churchill website or such like, get a quote online amend the level of cover and see the difference in price. Its probably less than price of a new screen fitting without glass cover (circa £250).

its already leaking so was gonna just go fully comp.

 

could i take out fully comp get it done then downgrade to tpft??

Don't think your insurance company would take very kindly to you doing that. They'll be well aware of the tricks/scams people try to put by them so prob won't let you, or otherwise will dump a big charge on you for downgrading the policy after having the glass done. :nono:

 

You could always befriend someone who works for autoglass?

my mate has a mate who works at rac still wants £230 for a windscreen

I've seen 'em sold on here s/h before. There's quite a few cars breaking at the mo so it might be worth trying to get one if you can get RAC guy to fit it. Is your screen chipped or just leaking at the edges? Mine's been replaced before and silicone is visible from inside the car, you could try resealing it? Mine leaks too but is going in to be replaced soon as I've got a big dirty stone chip in it.
