HEADLIGHT NIGHTMARES

Hello all, My 91 valver has bombed on th'MOT . One of the problems being no spread pattern from my lights (reflectors gone most likely). can anyone tell me if there is a huge difference in the two types of headlights or could i get away with using the later ones?

You can just change the lens (glass ) off your old ones on to the later backs it's easy just spring clips .it's because the lens is wider that the lights stick out a little more

sounds good, do you think that mod will get me past the mot inspector?

yes backs are all the same only the lens and the blacktrim bit changed

clean the reflectors on the new ones first but be careful not the strip off the silvering

I'm unsure if this applies to car headlight reflectors, but don't touch the reflectors with bare hands as the silver reacts with the salt residues on your skin.

I've spotted someone selling a pair of two month old lamps for a vr6. one of the mounts has snapped though. should i steer clear or give em a whirl? thanks for the previous post Carpy
