8vMatt 1 Posted October 30, 2009 Just wondering if you have an approx date for the next batch? Think I'll have a look into getting this. Thanks mate, Matt.
mrbeige 0 Posted October 30, 2009 Just wondering if you have an approx date for the next batch? Think I'll have a look into getting this. Thanks mate, Matt. Not sure, but as the boards normally have a 6 week lead time due to the 'group customers together' type manufacturing, it could be after Christmas now. It depends if I can get 5 or so interested parties soon. However, I will ad you to the list on the front page, as you are interested. :)
8vMatt 1 Posted October 30, 2009 Thanks for that. Looking forward to it.
G60_Marc 0 Posted October 31, 2009 (edited) Awesome bit of kit, many thanks. :notworthy: Here is an alternative way to fit the LED's without using hot glues etc. This way the LED's sit into the dash straight and flush the same as the original LED's. It will also make it easier to remove them in the future if need be. It will also avoid you taking the clocks apart again if your glue comes loose causing an led to fall back inside the clocks. Requirements: A junior hacksaw or you could use a dremel. A spare or broken set of Corrado clocks. A 2mm drill bit. I took the LED holder from an old set of clocks and modded as follows... Put it all back together and thats it. Its possible that you may be able to source an LED holder from a different model VW that has clocks made by VDO, Golf mk1, mk2 etc. I'm not sure if they are the same as i haven't had a mk1 for many years. :salute: Edited June 16, 2011 by G60_Marc

MonkeyVR6 0 Posted November 17, 2009 My cars been having some major work done, so I've not driven it in 2 months...started it up last night for the first time in ages, it still makes me smile having my shift light. I'd forgotten all about it! Bizzare, but it seemed to be set at the rpm I had set it too before I took the battery out :confused4:

It stores the RPM point in EEPROM when you program it, as it doesn't have a permanent live, just switched live off the ignition. :dorky:
