Kick Up The Rs 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Well after 3 months of C ownership, I'm slowly getting find all the bad bits about my car. One thing that is really niggling me is the poor quality of some previous paint / re-laquer work. If you look closely, you can see a couple of runs in the paint just above the door rubbing stip on the near side etc. I know it's a difficult one to answer without seeing the extent of what work is needed, but how much roughly speeking would it cost to flat back the top half of the front wings and doors and get them either repainted or just laquered Ball park figure of course & its pearlescent burgundy Thanks
Tom_vRS 0 Posted June 30, 2006 I would expect a single panel respray (including blending with surrounding panels etc) to cost in the region of £2-300.
Henny 0 Posted June 30, 2006 if it's simply a run in the laquer, you can get a paint file (kinda like a cheese grater) to take the main bit of the run out and then use wet and dry and buffing to get rid of it completely.... Done this to H-YYU in a couple of places with good effect... paint file available from most good car paint suppliers... 8)

Stan 24v 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Mate, when you do get to finally drive it you'll be in luurrrvvvee and remember why you bought it in the first place ;) believe me, I only drove my car about 1000 miles in the first 9 months of ownership due to engine problems :( I sometimes think about change, and think I'll get bored, then all of a sudden you put your foot down and it all becomes a distant memory!!!
