Craig 0 Posted July 28, 2006 My sunroofs broke! surprise! and im off to vw in a bit and thought i could get this sorted too but i dont know what the part no. is or what its specifically called? its the part on the end of the casting that pushes and pulls the roof looks like it has broke off. It will push the mech up and forward but wont retract it, leaving the passenger side up and it has to be forced down with a screwdriver of some sort! i presume this is the usual prob? anyone know what im talkin about? cheers, craig. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 28, 2006 Sunroof cable repair kit is what you need and you'll get a pair of new castings and cables. It's a lovely Sunday afternoon, roof lining down, sunroof subframe out job. Find the "attention broken sunroof" (or some such) thread and the part nos are in there I think.
