Glyn G60 0 Posted February 4, 2003 I am now an agent for Swissol Car Care Products. Hopefully this will be good for all of the Corrado-forum members who are interested in high quality car wax and associated valeting products as I can pass on discounts to the group. :D Some of you may have come across Swissol before - the brand was launched in the UK last year when they teamed up with Mark Underwood, formerly Wax Wizard. As the name suggests they are a Swiss company who have been making specialist waxes for the car industry since 1930. They are raising their international profile to take on Zymol in the specialist car care market. I was approached by John Wintle (Club GTI Sussex host and many times concours winner & judge at Inters) to go in with him as agents for Swissol to market it to the Specialist VW / GTI / Corrado scene. I am not in this to make money but just out of interest in the VW scene. Depending on volumes we are able to pass on discounts to established clubs, egroups, forums etc and in doing so raise the profile of the products. Although my Corrado is far from Concours, as my daily driver, I have been very impressed with the Swissol (and previous Wax Wizard) products I have used. I would therfore like to offer a discount of 10% to anyone who contacts me via the forum on any Swissol products. Please feel free to check out the website for details of the products, prices etc: http://www.swissol.co.uk If you have an interest in keeping you car in pristine condition I strongly recommend the free Car Care Handbook: http://www.swissol.com/E/GB/Handbuch.htm I am very happy to organise a group buy and would be able to offer a discount of up to 20% if there were more than 5 of you interested. The bigger the buy the bigger the discount I would be able to negotiate on your behalf. :D :D Feel free to email my through the forum. Cheers

I'll make this sticky to draw attention to it. I think it might get moved at some point.. not sure whether to put this in Parts For Sale, or Caring & Repairing.. anyone? VR6 0 Posted May 9, 2003 I've just taken delivery of the shield entry kit and a claybar from Glyn and the kit looks very good. Not had chance to test it yet though. I have to say that the delivery time was pretty shocking though. Now I don't know if this was down to her majesty's mail or to the people in Switzerland but I think, in the end, it was going on for over a month after sending the money. Of course, I was in no particular hurry to get the stuff and don't lay any of the blame on Glyn but just to say that for the price of the stuff, I kinda expected quicker delivery. Big thumbs up for the quality of the kits and for Glyn though! :thumbleft:

john_wintle 0 Posted May 9, 2003 The parcel was sent out from Switzerland to us on Tuesday 15th April!!! It arrived in the UK on the Thursday 17th April.....AND IT IS STILL SOMEWHERE IN THE UK FRIGGING POSTAL SYSTEM!!!! The sad thing is the Royal Mail still have no idea where it is....typical. The factory sent out another parcel which was delivered last Monday. Altogether we (Swissol in the UK) has had 11 parcels go missing and Royal Mail don't know where they are! They get from Switzerland to the UK in 24hours then sit in a dark shed for months. Maybe I will be lucky and they will turn up as well.....that would be VERY nice! Anyway, I am glad that you now have the goods and that you are happy with the bag of goodies. If you need any help with the application, you can always give us a ring or email. May see you at Inters! John.
2cc 0 Posted May 13, 2003 John, Great to meet you on Sunday - have yet to open the box!. How did u do? I missed the results. Also didn't see this b4 now as took some time out the office. Re the post problem - do the boxes have product labels? possible some naughty person is lifting them?
john_wintle 0 Posted May 13, 2003 Chris, go on, open the box! Hope you like it. If you do tell everyone and post some feedback and piccies! Got a second in class, but doesn't mean THAT much as there were only 3 in the class. Dunno with the post, but all the sent boxes do have SWISSOL tape on them and the customs ticket just says 'car care products'. So put 2+2 and you get a web site visit maybe, especailly if they see quite a few boxes coming through the main distribution centre...... John.

skid 1 Posted July 24, 2003 Right thats me spent 2 days polishing my car with swissol products and it looks the dogs danglies. :D The swissol was brilliant to use, and the wax comes off very easily not like the zymol i have used in the past, even when the sun came belting out. Must admit that you must have an excess of polishing cloths handy as it wont come off if the cloth is even slightly dirty, but it is a small price to pay for an excellent product. Many thanks for the excellent delivery and aftersales service John. :D
dazzyvr6 0 Posted July 24, 2003 whick kit did you go for skid,is your corrado flash red??
john_wintle 0 Posted July 24, 2003 Skid, Glad you liked the product, and as I have said before, it's easier to use than the Zymol equivelent. Know what you mean about the cloths though, I have a nice supply of towels ready. I don't recomend using the microfibre cloths, as they get impregnated (!) with wax very quickly and just end up smearing the wax everywhere. john
skid 1 Posted July 31, 2003 No mine is a tornado red and with much use of the sissol i hope that it stays that colour and doesnt turn into a tornado pink model. Mind you it might help if i take it out of the garage now and again  as for the clothes i am happy useing the good old tried and tested yellow dusters......a million housewifes cant be wrong
biggrim 0 Posted July 31, 2003 Don't you get yellow bits of fluff all over your car using them? Cotton boxer shorts are quite good (and no, not the ones I'm wearing at the time. And yes they are clean and yes I cut the buttons off them) so long as they are clean
john_wintle 0 Posted August 1, 2003 If you wash the hell out of the dusters they should not leave fluffy yellow bits behind. I find the cotton boxers are really good for the glass. John.
