Is a bonnet alarm switch nesssessary ?

Recommended Posts

I had a CAT 1 alarm fitted a couple of years ago. Just found out that the bonnet switch is not connected to anything.

Insurance problem for suposed CAT 1 system ?

Security problem ?

But there is a battery backup in a CAT 1 isnt there ? Wont the alarm keep running even with the battery disconnected? I thought that was the point !

If not then its a pretty major fault in my install ...

Our alarm definately has some kind of back up, discovered this when disconnecting battery for something. Blinking alarm wouldn't shut up

open bonnet...disconnect battery...one disabled alarm!

Very true for common alarm systems!

Get a switch for the bonnet mate!
