How do i get this off!!

Its driving me mad!

 

I took off the bolts in the middle, but cant undo the middle bolt, and im not sure i have to. PLease help, im gonna go insane! :mad:

Oh!

I hate that bolt!

You´d better replace it mate! :o

It screwed up my holidays! :(

 

I think that those crank bolts are glued, which makes it really hard to take them out.

I would try an impact key, like those that the tyre shops use (pneumatical).

Maybe some solvent can help dissolving the glue.

 

Just don´t brake the bolt! The pulley will come out, but it will be a pain to remove the other part of the bolt!!!

the outer pulley will come off now....just needs a tap with a hammy

 

the center bolt holds on the toothed wheel that the cam belt runs on...that bolt will be proper tight, you will need to stop the engine turning somehow

Im transferring it to another engine, of which a toothed cog is already attached.

 

Does this mean i can simply 'hit' or 'gently persuade' the outer, larger pulley off?

Thank you all very much.

 

I had tried that, but was scared incase i damaged it. Managed to pop it off with a wedge of wood, and taps from the hammer that way.
