New corrado owner Help needed problems at 65-70mph

Recommended Posts

Hi all

first off i have just bought a corrado 2.0 16v from BIG ted

If you now him

it was the black 2.0 16v advertised on the for sale section

a few things that have gone wrong like the car needed x2 rear wheel bearings

just found out when i got home :x Big ted failed to point this out!!!

Also the poor car was in need of a serious OIL CHANGE

.....................................................................................................

The main Question i need to ask is ********

When travling along at 65-70mph at 3000rpm the car begins to gerk and kind of splutters, the rev counters bounces about and the car begins to lose power, give it a rev and it sorts it self out

this does worry me and again the last owner failed to point this out

after paying strong money for the car and feel a bit let down

any help or advice to solve the problem would be great

thanks bollo

Fuel filter?

Mate, had a similar experience with my latest C :(

Stick with it and get it sorted- it'll be worth it. Make a list of what needs doing, prioritise the important things and get them done- no need to do them all at the same time.

if its in need of an oil change it will prbably be in need of a good service. i'd start there to begin with. if your good with a spanner it can be done very cheaply.

i do think its good to buy a car from a previous corrado forum owner
