Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 2, 2006 Hi folks, Just driving home in the rain and my front wipers broke, they wipe up but get stuck halfway on the way back down. Was making a really horrid noise from the motor, i had to get out and push them gently down, they clunked and motor took over again? is this gonna be some bolt loose etc? can't look in the dark, am gonna hopefully fix it tomorrow
VeeDub Geezer 0 Posted September 2, 2006 check the linkage that goes between the motor and the wiper arms. could be a seized joint or something
MurphG60 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Your motor maybe sticking try disconnecting the linkage from the motor and put your wipers on should see it moving smoothly.

Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 3, 2006 all the joints on linkages seem to have enough movement, some arms are a little wobbly, but nothing major
Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 3, 2006 could it be possible for the motor to be faulty? can't see much wrong with linkages
double-6s 0 Posted September 3, 2006 sounds like your motor is about to fail perhaps mate? mine did similar for a few weeks before the motor died altogether. probably about the cheapest repair there is on a vr so it's not all bad!
