GRINGOG60 0 Posted October 1, 2003 Hi, Ive got a G60 and im trying to eliminate a rattle somewhere on the engine. I beleive it to be the water pump or alternator so i want to run the car with the alternator/auxillary belt off. This belt also drives the supercharger and i need to know before i bother to take it off weather or not the car will run with out the superscharger spininig with the belt off? andycowuk 0 Posted October 1, 2003 it is no prob to run the engine with the charger drive belt off - just not for long without a water pump.
