Get a Peloquin ATB diff (or Quiafe but they are more expensive) fitted to your box. Budget around £450-£500 for the diff (try here for the best price, I got mine from here, http://www.thescirocco.com/peloquin.html), and wise to get box rebuilt with new bearings and seals at same time, looking at around £300-£350 for this, so budget £850 all in. Or just buy a rebuilt box with LSD fitted already, they sometimes come up for sale on the forums, seen them for about £500-£650,

Cheers and HTH

You don't get much better than those for a road car tbh....

I'd start to look at the chassis first. I know of a lot of kiddies that boast of being able to spin the wheels in 3rd or 4th or what ever, but I don't find a lack of acceleration through poor grip remotely impressive tbh.

Struts, bushing, geometry, quaife etc etc all need to be investigated if you're struggling for traction, but the 1.8T is quite a spikey engine, so can overwhelm the wheels quite easily. A quaife will help, but it won't sort it.

Ultimately 4x4 is the only way to avoid spin completely.
