Dub_nut_g60 0 Posted October 10, 2006 First i have a Clifford Concept 300. Since satuday when locking i get 2 beeps then 5 seconds later 4 beeps, i consulted the manual and it said this meant a door was ajar when arming. Tried all the doors, boot, bonnet etc... and the only on i can leave open and still arm it is the drivers door, and i can open it if armed without it going off, all others set off alarm, any idea what it could be? I have also noticed that the cabin lights no longer work, could this be related? and my clocks keep resetting whenever i start the car, any ideas? dinkus 10 Posted October 11, 2006 Sounds like the alarm is probably wired up to the switches in the door frame that activate the interior lights. If you've got a blown bulb and/or a stuck pin then it could stop the alarm from working...
Dub_nut_g60 0 Posted October 11, 2006 cheers Dom! shall try to change it at some point.... Alarm still works, but drivers door can be opened without it going off!! although on the plus side i guess the door handle is currently broken so cant be opened easily! Dub_nut_g60 0 Posted October 11, 2006 switches arent stuck in on either door. Think it must have something to do with the cabin courtesy light as it doesnt work on any setting.
dinkus 10 Posted October 11, 2006 I'd be looking at the driver's side switch then! Squirt a bit of contact cleaner and/or WD40 in there, give it a wiggle and it should fix it.
Dub_nut_g60 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Already had the drivers switch out to check but all seems ok, didnt check it with a multimeter though..... might try it to see if it is working
dinkus 10 Posted October 11, 2006 Ahh ok - those replies were posted as I was posting mine. I'd check it all with a multimeter and see what's not working - the bulbs are worth checking as well :)
