Timo. 0 Posted October 11, 2006 As above. My little mk3 golf tdi is doing my head in. It has a vibrating knocking noises when slowing down after lifting off the accelerator accompanied by some nice squealing noises. The squealing is not coming from the belt side and its doesn't sound like belt squealing anyway. It vibrates/knocks at constant speed on motorway but not all the time. I know the engine mounts are fecked so new ones are on the way. I'm not convinced that is the cause. All CV boots are in good order. Knocks/vibrates weather you have clutch engaged or not (revs at idle). So I'm pretty sure its not engine related (i.e. big ends/bearings etc.) It sounds like its going to fall apart and I beginning to think it aint the bargain I had hoped for. HELP T.
