Twiss 0 Posted October 13, 2006 Hi People Well after searching the forum and finding the post on the the cogs jumping a few teeth I decided to remove the center cog and adjust it. while it was of I turned the cog that turn the flap inside the box and sure enough it get stuck just be for it would be set to the windscreen. :( The other 3 settings is fine --dash vents-- dash vents and floor vents - just floor vents. I take it I stiill need to remove the ******** thing from the dash to fix it? or am I missing thing like a 3rd cable? is there a 3rd cable :?: please help Thanks Vaughn

dinkus 10 Posted October 15, 2006 I think there are only 2 cables, but the cogs usually jump at the exchanger box end, rather than the knob end. Which means most of the dash out and/or multi-jointed arms to get to the box and jiggle the cogs back into place. Even then, I'm not entirely sure how you know if they're back in the right place. Twiss 0 Posted October 16, 2006 The cogs on the air box its self I can get to, its the middle cog there that i removed. The cog thats connected directly to the flap is the one I moved and it still wouldn't go any further then the floor vents. So it looks like a fun weekends for me then ? can the cog that is directly connected to the flap jump//move/adjust it self out of sync withe the flap it self?
