stevef182 0 Posted October 21, 2006 i have just recently bought a 16v corrado and i love it..one problem however is the stereo audio keeps cutting out..it stays on but no audio comes out..it comes back on if u bang the top of dashboard but only for a second or 2..i have checked the connections running into the head unit but nothing seems to be wrong there and the fact that banging the dashboard seems to help would suggest its not that, more likely a loose wire/connection somewhere, does anyone have any ideas what it could be!!!! seriously annoying! mattnorgrove 0 Posted October 22, 2006 Is the head unit running thru an ISO lead/convertor? Or is it hardwired using connector blocks? Get the head unit out and try moving the connections (whilst listening to the audio) to try and narrow it down.

mattnorgrove 0 Posted October 28, 2006 looks like you'll have to trace it out then.... :(
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 28, 2006 i'd take the h/u out and check the connections and seating of the fuses inside the h/u , sounds like the amp is cutting out to me , if it was the connections you would lose all power and its unlikely to be the connections to all speakers
_Monkey 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Like GIXXERUK said, I think it's the internal amp in the headunit, there's probably a dry joint in the connection to the amp.
