stormchaser 0 Posted October 22, 2006 it is when i go fast but the fan is at lowspeed, it is ok if i go slow or the fan is up high..guessing fan bearing(if it has one)
randomist 0 Posted November 4, 2006 mine does this too, mine does it coz i've had the fan motor out & i don't think i've put it back together properly. i'm sure i couldn't get it to sit in on of the clips or something so just gave up! doesn't do it when i turn the fan on full blast! if it really bothers you i'd check the fan motor itself under the passenger shelf & see if its a tight fit in the housing. P2daz 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Not had this on my C yet, although it happened on a couple of Mk2 Flogs i've owned, cured one by removing it and re-fitting and the noise stopped. The other i tried the first method with no result so removed it again and dropped a little lightweight oil (3in1) onto the bearing and it stopped it for a few weeks and ended up chucking a good second hand one in. Trial and error time really...
