how much time/many miles expected of a front bearing?

A quick question - the OS front bearing was done by a local VW specialist 2 years ago -after 12000 miles it looks like its gone again. Any advice welcomed...!

Check if it was a genuine part first of all... If it is then it may be covered by the 2 year warranty

 

Vtech ones last about 10k on a VR, FAG ones a bit longer... SKF are the only ones to use IMO...

 

I think your just going to have to go for another one really - If it does it again in a years time then it may be a problem with the bearing carrier...
