P2daz 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Snap! Mines exactly the same,i think the 'hotspots' are where the strip is damaged and the electrical current is passing through the moisture instead of the wire. You have just reminded me that i needed to order this : http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8934&frostProductName=Electro%20Connector It should solve the problem - hopefully. **EDIT** Cheaper here:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&item=330008375012&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=
Phil K 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Basically only about 2 or 3 of the thin metal strips across my rear screen actually work! the ones that don't work seem to have 'hot spots' where a tiny circle of the glass clears around a point on the strip... Is there anyway of repairing them or getting a company to re-do them? My C tends to mist up quite quickly when it's wet and it does my head in not being able to get a clear view of the people I just overtaken
