Please may i recommend Barry Swift (Mobile: 07944605055) i have been using him now for two years with a variety of vw's and he is by far the best mechanic i have used. His rates are very reasonable too...

he is a mobile mechanic, and is vw trained, worked for merc etc etc... very knowledgable... will diagnose your problem over the phone most of the time!

For example: this work was done on my mk3 golf GTi 2.0 8v

 

New timing belt and tensioner

New water pump

Coolant

Cleaned out throttle body

New alternator belt and PAS belt

 

Parts and labour came to £183

 

But he makes sure the car is running as sweet as possible, rather than just doing the work quoted for......
