Upgraded Alternator

Just starting to get my monster ICE set up planned / bought for the Corrado.

 

Need to know what size Alternator can be fitted as I dont think my standard one is going to be capable of running 1.8kW of amplifier power.... Do the 120Amp ones off Gold diesels fit? Are all VW alternator mounting brackets the same??

In my rado I am running crazy amounts of audio . if you look at my sig you can see ;) . but yes, a 120amp alternator will fit . I currently have one in my rado but soon will be getting a 180 amp one built because of how much wattage im running. Hope this somewhat helps and good luck :)

1.8kw is 150 amps. Good luck.

 

Of course, your 1.8kw amp will rarely be running anywhere near that.
