temp guage

Recommended Posts

hi

i have a rado vr6 1994 model,

been having problems with the fans coming in at different temps, 2nd stage comin in at 80 degrees, took it back to vw they said they had connected some wires wrong somewere and now its rectified,

now the 1st stagefans kick in at just over 100 degrees and according to the manual it should kick in earlier, now all the sensors in the thermo housing have been replaced and the thermo switch in the rad has been replaced.

any idea what it could be ?

or is it algirght to leave it as it is? could it affect the engine by leaving to run to a 100 degrees ?

i`m just pissed off going back to vw all the time,

been back in touch with vw they reckon that the fans are coming in correctly and that the temp guage in the car is not always accurate

is this true?

thanx jay
