alackofspeed2 0 Posted December 16, 2006 Hi, Myself and a friend are rebuilding a VR, and having now got the block back from the machine shop, the next stage is to fit the pistons. With the cylinders being at an angle to the block face, I'm imagining it's going to be a more difficult exercise than fitting would be with perpendicular bores. Does anyone know of recommended techniques? Any helpful suggestions would be really appreciated....... before we start snapping rings, and scoring bores  :D Cheers, John. CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted December 16, 2006 I used a standard spring compression tool and sliced it on a angle to the bores.
alackofspeed2 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Cheers for the reply. What did you use to cut the ring compressor?
