Dash board haywire!!

Recommended Posts

Hi Ive owned my G60 7 years,

A few years ago very occasionally on a long drive the needle on the speedo would go past 80mph to 100+

I never took much notice as it was very rare, but now it does it a bit more frequently and it almost appears to be copying the rev counter :agrue:

I know my way round cars so im assuming this has to be electrical interference or maybe an earth problem as if it was the cable surely it would of snapped by now?

So if anyone has had this let me know Im eager to fix the annoying problem!

Cheers

you sure its not coz your putting your right foot on the pedal a bit harder??

That tends to make my speedo needle go from 80 to 100+ every now and then

If it is the spreed sensor then you need the one with the right angle, there are 2 units one straight and one right angle, bothe will fit but the right angle on is a better fit.
