engine mount

Recommended Posts

iv been told by "VW Bedrock" that one of my engine mounts has "Perished"

I am going to give it to them to do repairs, however this sounds like an expensive one that id like to give a bash myself to reduce cost.

Is it easy, where can I get parts, do I need to have a garage machine to hold the engine up to completely remove the mount????

Question after question...... sorry but not really got a clue about this one

As already said, Front one is easy, gearbox one is a little more tricky to get at if you've got ABS, but is still do-able with a trolleyjack and axle stands (it's probably a swine on a VR, but I've not done one of them!) and the left had rear engine mount looks like it'll be tricky to get at too... I'm doing mine while the engine's out! :D

as long as you have 6 ft arms which are no more than 1 mm across, and made of rubber, you'll be ok :D

Sounds like you've done yours then!
