GSF front mounts have been fine for at least a couple of us, it's the rears that are problematic, way too hard compared to OEM.

I would say the Febi-Bilstein from vwspares.co.uk (£52 delivered), or OEM would be your best bet.

 

There was a thread last week about how crap the GSF rear mounts are, personally I wouldn't trust their fronts after reading that.

used to think gsf were really good parts and price but like you say were seems to be a bit of a split opinion need more parts don,t wont to buy same part twice if not happy

Yeah - been fairly happy with my GSF front mount. Was much cheaper than the VW one and had VW part numbers / logo stamped into it so fairly sure its pretty much an OE product..?

you can use the one from a golf (mk2) oil burner and they are solid rubber.
