Simon 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Everyone seems to say how good the handling is on a VR6 (although maybe not as good as the smaller engined models), however whenever I attempt to take a corner with some speed, there is immense body roll. My car is totally standard, and i was wondering if there was anyway of improving the handling without spending a fortune?? I appreciate the C's do cost a lot to maintain etc, but i've only had mine for a month and don't really want to be shelling out a load of cash quite so soon. All advice welcome
dazzyvr6 0 Posted October 19, 2003 if its still on the original dampers they would be getting on for nearly 15 years old so they are bound to be worn a bit,so you will get some body roll, either get some new standard shocks or uprated ones or if yoiu can afford coilovers,i get no body roll on mine at all now :D
Bournemouth James 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Get some coilover suspension, you can get a decsent kit for about £

Good things to consider.
dazzyvr6 0 Posted October 19, 2003 but the struts are the same as mk2 golf ones so could be 15 years old, probably just with different springs thats all
VR6 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Yeah I was thinking that but I was just making the point that they've only had about 11 years maximum use. Like I said though, just being pedantic :)
Simon 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Thanks for the info all..... I'm now off to spend some money. As long as it handles like a go kart afterwards i won't be too upset.
