Sidelight not working

One of my sidelights isn't working so changed the bulb but the new one didn't work either. Swapped the bulb and housing with the other headlight and it worked fine in there. There are 12v going to the bulb , but I noticed that that the bulb sat a bit loose compared to the other side. I presume it isn't lighting because of a bad earth. Is there something missing that jams the bulb in, making the connection?

It is a bad earth yes - The outside of the bulb holder makes contact with headlight housing. I had problems with mine, so I removed the headlight & bent the contact back into place with a small screwdriver.

theres a small metal contact thats sits in the hole with it and makes it tighter.

I had the same prob yesterday. Mine was lose in the light.

Just fixed it, cheers guys. The contact had come off but managed to find it and it's sorted. Just need to wait until it's dark to admire the LED sidelights.
