You can't check 'em any way other than putting them on a car and trying it out. Well .. that's not strictly true, but you're unlikely to have a test rig and an oscilloscope to hand are ya!

You got a late VR6? If so I think GSF sell the "obd2-style" MAF for about £65 exchange.
