woody 0 Posted October 22, 2003 First large downpour of rain and the passenger side wiper stops working. Drivers side still works and when it does the i can see the passenger side twitching about 10mm then dropping back down. It is to dark to see now but i will have a look in the morning. Are both wiper connected together with a bar so that they stroke together?
VR6 0 Posted October 22, 2003 Probably just the wiper arm connection to the spindle. Would be odd for one arm to stop working and not the other.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 22, 2003 Yep, you need to tighten the passenger side 13mm nut a bit harder. Due to that part of the arm being alloy, the slipping may have completely worn it out, meaning a replacement arm :(
Henny 0 Posted October 23, 2003 Time to upgrade to Lupo arms and blades methinks... :) As both VR6 and Kevhaywire say, it's probably the nut that's come loose... :?
woody 0 Posted October 23, 2003 I there a list somewhere for the parts required to do the upgrade to lupo wipers.
Mystic Storm 0 Posted October 23, 2003 Woody, Try the link below. I fitted mine on Saturday and what a difference, can actually see in the rain now. I went for the the two drivers arms with passenger blade on the drivers side. James http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=

Henny 0 Posted October 23, 2003 yeah, after waiting 14 weeks for my arms and blades to arrive I eventually received a complete driver's side arm + blade and a complete passenger side arm + blade... Not what I ordered, but they're on the car and look good so far... I've not tested them yet 'cos the car's got no engine at the moment!

Supercharged 2 Posted October 23, 2003 Yeah the numbers changed. you need 2 of 6X2 998 406 which is an arm with blade already fitted The dealers can get these next day and mine cost £35 all in
woody 0 Posted October 24, 2003 Got them installed, no rubbing windscreen. Just waiting for it rain. Taking it to Littlehampton tonight for 16VG60 to fit new Saches (spelling) clutch and clutch slave cylinder, uprated light loom and fitting of new suspension. One of these days i will get a digi camera and take some pics. My car is now starting to work as it was supposed to when it broke out of the showroom and slapped all of the other vw's round the head. ( Apart from other corrado's not wanting to Annoy anybody on this forum.) Thanks all for the advice
