waynos 0 Posted May 10, 2007 update time! ive been very busy lately, but i have done a few things to the car, firstly i got an rs bumper extension and bonded then smoothed it into a secondhand bumper i got off ebay for a tenner, heres a few pics of the work in progress (sorry if the pics are on the large side, i have no idea how to resize them) the secondhand bumper, had to cut the bottom part off otherwise it would be seen thru the new extension. also keyed it up nicely with some rough sandpaper so the adhesive had something to grab heres the bumper with the new section bonded on. i used plastic bumper filler to blend the two then p38 and some fine filler past to get rid of the imperfections here its is before priming with all the filler work finished here it is in white high build primer
Jim 2 Posted May 10, 2007 Nice skills.. don't think i've seen anyone do that before! Will be interested to see it all done :)
waynos 0 Posted May 10, 2007 painted and laquered (bear in mind this is my first attempt at using a compressor and spray gun! ) couple pics of it on the car, with the debadged grille i bought off AB all painted up with the bottom slats in matt black ive got a nice little idea up my sleeve for the skirts as from the side it looks a bit crap with the bumper being closer to the ground
waynos 0 Posted May 10, 2007 my car started to sound like arse so i got underneath , yanked the exhaust off. this is what i found! no worries though, 16 squid later ive got myself a mk2 golf scorpion back box off ebay and spent a couple hours fitting it (coudnt be arsed wiping the polish off near the exhaust lol)

Bally 0 Posted May 11, 2007 nice motor... tyres wise you'll be fine with 205/40/17's... brands wise Ive stuck with falkens for the stretch...
