on a private road i clocked around 100mph and noticed that my lupo wipers on my rado wouldnt come back down when being used to clear the windscreen. is this normal or is my motor shagged?

clean up the cabling and earths... if that doesn't cure it, probably time for a new motor... :|

I got a replacement complete wiper mech (inc. motor) for £50 delivered from a breakers when my linkage broke.

The stroke was so much smoother, and stronger at speeds -- so they do just wear out!

Yeah - I think the lupo's put a bit of extra strain on the old motors...

Check the linkage first for any play (usually the crank on the motor and the next arm attached to it) and then replace the motor - I replaced the 200k one on the tdi and it made a big difference altho you only really see it at speed in heavy rain.

I think you'll find there's a quantum resonance. You should do 101 mph, and the work just fine.
