Squeaking whine sound, didn't last long though.

On the way down to Southampton at the weekend my car started making a rather strange squealing noise at certain speeds, so dropped into an independant vw garage that didn't have a clue what it was but sprayed some wd40 about and it stopped. Driving back from work yesterday it came back very briefly, then there was a crashing under the bonnet and the fan belt started slipping like crazy...

 

 

 

That'll teach me to forget about things :( Tensioner Pulley wasn't turning at all!!

I forgot to take it into my usual garage to have it checked out after the whine cropping up in the first place... As it had stopped i forgot about it. Now he's coming out to my house to have a look and replace the tensioner pulley and cambelt :(

 

I have some Kent cams on the way which will now have to wait untill next month to be fitted it think. Rubbish!
