Vr6 rear engine subframe

i have etka and i tried seeing which rear engine subframes from a vw would fit a corrado vr6, the numbers seem to match but the last letter is different, what does that represent/mean?

 

from reading on here in the past golf mk3 vr6 rear engine cross members fit but do the passat ones also fit?

 

on the same note, are the engine looms the same on all three cars?

does any one know if the golf rear engine subframe is the same?

if not can the golf version be used anyway? or is it a lost cause?

535 199 315 E only fits the Corrado VR6.

how much difference is there with the frames? someone told me its the height?

I have a Goof VR subframe on mine, the only difference is the two fixing points to the car chassis to the rear where the Golf ones are slightly longer and the 2 fixing bolts are further apart. I had to chop a couple of inches off and drill a new hole on each leg.

 

It is a bit tricky getting the correct dims but it was worth it as sourceing a 2nd hand Golf subframe is a hell of a lot easier than for a Rado!

guesse you havent had trouble with the bonnet fouling then?

No problems elsewhere, it is simply a case of chopping an inch or so off the legs and drilling a new hole. If you send me your email address I will take a couple of piccies if you like. Won't be til tomorrow mind as i took advantage of this spring like day and cycled to work, and I don't know how to upload piccies here.
