oil temps

oil gets pretty hot on a blast (over 120) and i was wondering if my heat exchanger was knackered. where is is located and is it cheaper to change it like for like with a new part or get a mocal???

Hey my car started beeping today and i checked the oil temp and it was 100!

Could this be the same problem i checked the oil level and thats fine, is there an easy way to check if the heat exchanger is screwed!!!!Um any advice?

That's completely fine mate! cooler than most of my Corrados have run.

...Oh, and as for the buzzer, that'll be your oil pressure - Have a search on here and you'll find a few threads about it.

you usually get water/oil mixing as the thing corrodes from inside, sometimes mistaken for a headgasket failure as you get emulsified oil in the engine.

Hate that search thing can never find what im lookin for!!

JUst been out for a drive and its fine now! oil temp sat around 75 And no oil light or nasty beeping noise!!!
