What silicone lubricant for charger rebuild??

Recommended Posts

You need a non silicone based ptfe,as silicone will kill the lambda probe.

Its available from the usual charger rebuild places. 8)

you actually need non silicone, non ptfe lube for the charger, i know it says ptfe on the G werks site but it is actually a ptfe alternative that can be safely burned off by the engine, the problem with ptfe and silicone is if some gets into the engine and gets burned it can coat the lambda sensor preventing it from operating correctly, the problem of silicone contamination was highlighted recently with the dodgy fuel that was being sold down south.

Klüber-Nosol is the only stuff, IMHO, everyone in Germany uses that.

Mind you, there has always been a raving debate on German forums on the virtues of using any sort of lubricant at all, as the stuff wears off quite quickly anyway, gets deposited in the boost pipes and intercooler instead.
