went to look at a corrado today, and the gear stick was a lil floppy? is that normal?

is there a short shifter kit that can fix this? also noisy fuel pump when turning the ignition, when it primes it self-

are these normal or should it be something to look at?

thanks

jim

Sloppy gearstick probably just means the linkage needs adjusting, so a fairly easy fix.

The fuel pumps do tend to get noisy before they die (not uncommon considering it's 10+yrs old) and new ones are around £80.

It's probably a good idea to replace the fuel filter either way and it might prolong the life of the pump too. The problem is, the pumps do just die without any further warning and could leave you stranded somewhere.

I changed the pump and filter on mine and it's been pretty much silent since.

More power for one and they are easier to eek more bhp from than their 16v counterparts. Although judging from the tech specs the G60 isn't any faster to 60 than a 1.8 16v. Best thing to do is test drive a bog standard valver and G60 and go from their. I see you're 19 so insurance may be a prob on a tuned G60 (even standard for that matter) or not, depending on how you're pockets are lined.
