vr6storm 0 Posted October 29, 2003 right guys as its getting nearer to the event........ok ok just over a month away :) :) .......might be an idea for everyone to sort out their travel arrangements down/up to Star-Performance i was thinking of the Aberdeen/northern contingent(maybe even the Elgin lot) meeting up at the Duthie park at approx 8:15am to leave between 8:30am and 8:45am at the latest.......ideally we need to be there for between 10-10:30am......though i might be at Star a bit earlier as i've arranged it afterall  once again i would appreaciate your feedback on this might be an idea  for either biggrim,Joe M or vr6paul to sort out the "southern" contingent travel/meetup arrangements
Danger Mouse 0 Posted October 29, 2003 Glasgow area people could meet at the Quay again as everyone knows where it is. Possibly meeting around 8:30am. Is this cool with you lot?
Joe M 0 Posted October 29, 2003 Fine with me, whats the bbq arrangements?
biggrim 0 Posted October 29, 2003 whats the bbq arrangements? A man with his priorities right!!! Good question Joe. The Quay is fine with me depending on what way we are goin to Star. Don't want to double back and go past my house again (Akward bastid me).
Danger Mouse 0 Posted October 29, 2003 Iv got a small 1ft X 1/2ft gas bbq, ill get the gas bottle re-filled and ill bring it, just in case. mmmmm steaks, chicken........ What is the best way to get to Star from Glasgow?
biggrim 0 Posted October 29, 2003 When Joe and I went over we went along the motorway and over the Forth Road Bridge. Would be cool to all stop before we go over and try to get a pic with the bridge in the background (Joe's idea). Could co over the other bridge but don't know which is quicker or best. Any ideas? vr6storm 0 Posted October 29, 2003 Fine with me, whats the bbq arrangements? well going by the fun me and dub16 had trying to get a BBQ going at a previous RR-day we have decided to get Star-Performance to organise one of the local burger vans to be in attendance...........its up to yourselves if you want to take a BBQ along but please bear in mind due to the huge interest in this day and the fact there will be at least 25 cars in attendance that if its raining on the day there isn't really any sort of shelter from the elements etc
vr6paul 0 Posted October 29, 2003 right guys i have been over the kincardine way a couple of times. Just like going to Knockhill but you turn right in kincardine and then it gets a bit fiddly. Think Forth road is easiest and i am up for meeting at the quay- not into storming along motorway though- my liscence has had enough of that!!!! half eight should get us there for ten and if not before! cheers

andycowuk 0 Posted October 29, 2003 turn right in kincardine and then it gets a bit fiddly. Think Forth road is easiest Sinse you are going over the Forth Road Bridge, rather than the Kincardine bridge, u could meet the edinburgh group (3 of us at least) in south queensferry or something......coming along the motorway you will come past a big tesco there, we could meet in that carpark? 9.30ish?
