newbie questions!

Recommended Posts

right new to the rado scene!

gone to view a few corrado's

and some haven't been anything special.

how much should i expect to pay for a 1.8 16v corrado?

the paint is swirly and the rear dash lights dnt work, theres no mot or tax.

on the plus it is lowered, nice rims, and a custom exhaust,

rear spoiler works fine,

back to bad. but sunroof only tilts, doens't slide.,

door electrics arn't connected and tints are coming away from windows,

the bootlid has been smoothed over, and there is signs of crackin in the fibreglass/filler.

all i really want to know is, how much should i pay for it?

thanks again.

Jim

Sounds like they've been concentrating on the "stick on" stuff rather than fixing the real issues with the car which is a shame.

From the sounds of that, i'd want to pay well under £1000 to be quite honest.

Theres no way thats worth 2k from the sounds of it. Have seen valvers going for under 1k at the moment and thats not with many problems.

Theres even been a couple of nice vr6s go for around 2k lately.

What history has it got? You've not mentioned it so I'm guessing not a lot. I'd run a mile from that given what you've said about it.

If you're considering spending 2k on a 1.8 16v, then I'd expect to see lots of history, with everything working and in good nick. I wouldn't touch it without MOT either.

just me 2p's worth....

I agree. Sounds like a shed which will need a load of investment to make it tip-top.

Suggest you offer £700-£1000, but absolutely no more. They really aren't worth a lot unless they're in good nick these days. The sunroof will cost £300 to put right to start with.

Ditto. I paid a smidge over 2k for my 2.0 16v last June (I think) from scarlett on here.. and prices have dropped since then. For an early valver with no tax and ticket, and that list of problems, he's unfortunately way off the mark with that price.

My advice is keep hunting. You can definately find far better 1.8 valvers for that sort of money.
