dukest 0 Posted April 20, 2007 Hi all, Have a shiny new bonnet stand to fit but, when i tried to remove the bracket to swap the stands over by removing the 2 bolts at the right hand edge of the slam panel, it still wouldn't come out. Should the bracket come loose at this stage or do you have to take the whole slam panel out? Is the bracket attached to the wing somehow? Cheers! dukest 0 Posted April 21, 2007 thanks, i tried pulling it through the bung but the angles arent right for all the twists and turns (battery in the way etc). i know i can just keep dismantling the front end till it comes free/has space to get out of the bracket but as i'm not used to too much bodywork diy i thought i'd see if there was an easy way! Oh and have you found a new one or had one made ,because i need one £24 at the stealers..
Supercharged 2 Posted April 21, 2007 Try pushing the bung itself thru - it is posible altho I would take the battery out for easier access...

nocrap 0 Posted April 22, 2007 Managed to get mine out by pulling it not so long ago (sorry for the innuendo)....was a real git but still no more than a 5 - 10min job, was more difficult getting it back in. If its the battery that's in the way just take it out.
