front and rear bumper removal

hi guys i know this prob been done before.. so sorry.. :oops:

 

need to take my front and rear bumpers off to be smoothed.. how hard is it what will i need and where do i start ?

 

any things to be careful of - dos donts etc

 

any help appreciated..

Its been covered and is quite straightforward.

 

Rear bumper - just remove the two 17mm (iirc) bolts and pull out. Keep some padding on the ground as it will suddenly tip towards you and you could get some unnecessary scrapes on it.

 

Front bumper - remove indicators and fogs. Remove housing and push the free cable through the feed hole, away from the bumper. Remove lower splash guards (L & R) and both wheel arch liners. remove outer bolts (again 17mm) on the bumper bracket, NOT the centre ones, theses are for the engine. Slide out the bumper. The external temp sensor is also clipped ot teh inside of teh bumper so when you slide it out, do so slowly so you can unclip it as you remove the bumper. HTH.
