2.0 16v KE-Jet set up???????

Hi there,

 

i am new to this forum and was looking for some advice,

 

i've recently purchased a 2.0 16v corrado and was looking for some info on seting up the KE-Jet injection system,

 

Apart from the horrific fuel economy lol, it runs lumpy when cold and hunts on idle,

i have basic knowledge of the corrado but am capable of doing all work myself,

try using the search.....your idle problems could be your isv.......take it off and clean it with brake cleaner....there is already lots written on this subject

Oh right ok cool,

 

i had a mk2 golf gti before and had a similar prob, cleaning the isv did help alot!!

why i havent tried this i dont no!!!!lol

favourites on the 2.0 16v seem to be dodgy lambdas, particularly if it's had a pattern one fitted, ISV's (cleaning sometimes isn't enough), incorrect ignition timing and incorrect engine timing (e.g. one tooth out on cambelt) following a belt and tensionner change.

plug leads can get too high resistance on them and dizzy's suffer from oil seeping into them as well as the occasional dodgy hall sender, although with the latter this usually kills the ignition altogether.

Vac leaks on the small pipes, connectors and inlet tract rubber boots is common.

Funnily enough i've just ordered a new seal for the dizzy as its seeping oil down the side of the head!! :lol:
